A DOG which hid in a farmer's field for more than two weeks has finally been caught.
The nervous German shepherd is now being cared for at a dog kennel in Durham City, where staff hope to find her a loving home.
Darlington Borough Council's dog warden John Martin tried for three days to capture the animal and even used sedatives in meat to coax it into his van, but the dog became nervous and ran away.
He finally succeeded yesterday morning.
Anyone who thinks they can give the dog a home is asked to call 0191-378 0439 for more details.
