A body has reportedly been found in the River Foss in York city centre.
A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said: "Police are currently at Foss Islands Basin, following reports that a body has been seen in the water.
"An underwater search unit has been called to make a search of the area and will recover anything that is discovered."
Officers have been scouring the Foss and the Ouse for the past fortnight, following the disappearance of Huntington teenager Jonathon Havron.
The 18-year-old was last seen leaving the Lowther Pub in Cumberland Street on February 26.
