Tees Valley Leisure, operators of Eston Sports Academy have announced an upgrading of the lights at Middlesbrough Lions home arena.
The lights have been in need of upgrade for some time now and the new specification in LUX output will bring in line with the top arenas around the UK. Lions photographers Paul Gaythorpe & Wayne Beadle met the news with enthusiasm as it made their job of capturing quality photos more difficult under the previous, darker conditions.
Deputy Managing Director; Ian Donley is committed to the improvement of facilities to ensure the people of the area from spectators of Lions basketball and international boxing or gymnasts & netball players enjoying their sessions can enjoy first class amenities.
The lights will be upgraded this weekend so there will be no basketball either on Saturday or Sunday although the full benefit will be available for all to see on Sunday 11th October when the Lions host Durham Wildcats, 4pm at Eston Sports Academy.
