A NEW programme of walks for the autumn months has been released by the Hambleton Strollers.

Weekly outings take place in Stokesley, Northallerton and Great Ayton and fortnightly works are held in Thirsk, Bedale and Easingwold.

Organisers plan route through the towns and villages that are generally flat and easy going and anyone is welcome to join, particularly older people who may want some company and exercise, and those with health problems that may be improved by gentle exercise.

Copies of the Strollers programmes for October, November and December are available from local libraries, council offices and leisure centres. Or For more details call Age Concern on 01609-771624.

The first walks of the new programme take place from 10.15am unless stated: Thursday, October 1, at Bedale Leisure Centre and Thirsk Swimming Pool; Friday, October 2, at Northallerton Tourist Information Point; Monday, October 5, at Great Ayton Library; Tuesday, October 6 at Northallerton Mayford House Surgery and Hutton Rudby Village Hall and Wednesday, October 7, at Stokesley Leisure Centre and Northallerton County Hall (from 12.15pm).
