A CYCLIST has been killed in an accident with a car on a busy dual carriageway today.
The rider was struck by the vehicle on the A174 near Middlesbrough shortly after midday.
The west-bound carriageway is closed between Greystones roundabout and the A172 junction while police investigate the scene.
The road is expected to be closed for several hours.
A spokesman for Cleveland Police said the cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
