THERE'S an opportunity for people to find out how a project to protect Hartlepool's Headland coastline against rising sea levels and erosion is progressing.
Hartlepool Council, with the help of a firm of experts called Scott Wilson, is looking at ways of improving how the Town Wall and Fish Sands area is protected.
As part of that it has carried out a series of tests to assess the long-term viability of the existing structures.
The Council and Scott Wilson will outline the results of those tests at two presentations for members of the public on Thursday, July 2 in the Borough Hall at 2.30pm and 6.30pm. There will also be two drop-in sessions on the same day and at the same venue at 3.30pm and 7.30pm.
Dennis Hancock, the Council's Principal Engineer, said: "I hope as many people as possible will come along to one of the above sessions. There will be further public updates and consultation in the coming months as the project continues."
