A STUDENT has won a dream place at one of Europe’s most prestigious talent show events.
Jessica York, of Stockton, has been selected to take part in Growing Talent Europe 2009, in Barcelona, Spain.
The 17-year-old Stockton Sixth Form College student is one of just a handful of hopefuls chosen from the UK.
Jess is a pupil of the Rachael Brunton Musical Theatre School based at Arc in Stockton.
Principal Rachael Brunton said: "When Jess told me about the audition I said go for it straight away.
"Jess has raised her game for this. She really lights up the stage and we’re all rooting for her in Barcelona.
Growing Talent Europe 2009 takes place from August 17 to 23 and Jess is hoping to find local sponsorship.
She said: "I’m so excited to have this opportunity and for the encouragement and support from my family, friends, Rachael and actor and mentor David Williams."
