On 27th April NewBlood was held at the Darlington Music Forum. This NewBlood there was only 2 bands as unfortunately 1 band dropped out at last minute. NewBlood is a monthly event for 14-17 year olds. Although soon NewBlood is going back to being a fortnightly event. The event costs £3 entry fee.

First up was Get Educated, the rock/ alt band with influences from all elements off the rocking industry. The name originated from the fact they wanted a catchy name that sent out a message and stuck in everyones minds.

The band consists of: - Matt – Vocals/Guitar - Alistair – Guitar - Nick – Bass - Chris – Drums - Will – Synth

On stage they blew the crowd away with “Sixteen”, “Guilty” and “Rough Sleeper”. Some of these will be on their new EP that should be coming out soon.

Headlining was Myth Of Unity with Mark – vocals, Kellian – vocals. Luke – drums, Callum – Synth/bass and James – Guitar. They played a couple of NewBlood’s ago, for the second time they thought it was good as they were recognised a lot more and they felt very appreciated and were amazed at the fan base, they were even asked to sign CDs!

Since last time there has been replacement members for those who have left. This was because there was 7 members but now there are now 5 members. The new member is Callum, in case you were wondering.

On stage they played “If I Had a Heartbeat”, “Welcometo Unity” and there new song “The Good Life”.

In the future the band has a new album coming up and they are supporting Kings Blues and they are playing at Road To V.
