DIYers should never tackle jobs involving gas, but if you need some gas work done, it’s no longer the case of getting a CORGI-registered engineer in to do it.
As of this April anyone installing, repairing or servicing gas appliances must be registered with Gas Safe Register.
If they’re not, they’re breaking the law and potentially putting you at risk.
The yellow Gas Safe Register triangle replaces the orange CORGI registration badge on engineers’ ID, so look out for that or check if an engineer is registered at www.gassaferegister.co.uk
