POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a runningbattle involving rival gangs.
Cleveland Police have released CCTV images taken of the fighting near Middlesbrough town centre.
One image appears to show a running fight. In the other, one youth appears to be chasing another who may be armed with a stick.
This image was captured by a camera in Wood Street, near the town’s train station, on Wednesday, September 24, at 8.30pm.
A police spokeswoman said: “Police are appealing for information after an incident. It is believed that one group is from Grangetown and the other from Middlesbrough.”
Officers are particularly interested in talking to the man in the second picture, who is holding what is believed to be some sort of weapon.
