POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a running-battle involving rival gangs.
Cleveland Police have released CCTV images taken of the fighting near Middlesbrough town centre.
One appears to show a running fight. In the other, one youth appears to be chasing another who may be armed with a stick.
This image was captured from a camera in Wood Street, near the town's train station, on Wednesday, September 24, at 8.30pm.
A police spokeswoman said: "Police are appealing for information after an incident in Middlesbrough where two groups of people were involved in an altercation.
"It is believed that one group are from Grangetown and the other from Middlesbrough."
Officers are particularly interested in speaking with the man in the second picture who is holding what is believed to be some sort of weapon.
