LITTLE voices sang out in Christmas song as nursery children performed their first traditional Yuletide concert.
More than 30 toddlers, from Darlington College Childcare Centre at Catterick dressed as carol singers, snowmen and in nativity costumes to sing seasonal tunes and hymns to delighted parents and staff.
Early years practitioner at the childcare centre Avril Greaves said: "Many children today think Christmas is just about Santa and presents.
"So we decided to celebrate a traditional Christmas learning about traditions old and new."
Childcare services manager Joanna Conway added: "We celebrate a whole range of festivals from different religions throughout the year.
"All our centre staff have been working with the children to learn the traditional nativity story reinforcing the Christmas message.
"They really enjoyed learning about the real meaning of Christmas and their performance of the songs was fantastic."
