CRAFTY kids are going green this Christmas to help spread some festive cheer across east Durham communities.
Members of the Easington District Youth Forum have been busy making their own gift bags out of recycled wrapping paper which will be handed out to local care homes.
Each bag will contain a selection of festive chocolates and sweets.
Michelle Morton, Forum Co-ordinator said: “The young people wanted to take on a festive project that would benefit older and vulnerable people in their local communities.
“One of the groups has also chosen to include light timer switches, personal alarms and other items in their bags to reflect their interest in community safety.’’ The young people will be out and about distributing their festive gift bags to-day. (THURSDAY)
