POLICE are appealing for information about an unprovoked attack that left a man with cuts and bruises.
The 20-year-old was walking home alone along Allendale Road in Ormesby, Middlesbrough, just after 3am on Saturday when he was attacked by a group of men.
He was walking across a grassed area towards Normanby Road when he was approached by four men.
One of the men punched him twice without warning, causing him to fall to the ground. They then all went on to repeatedly punch him.
He suffered a cut to his scalp, bruising and grazed knees.
