THE sights and sounds of the undead, ghosts and ghouls will fill a Teesside park this Hallow’een.

Preston Park in Eaglescliffe, near Stockton, will host a ghost-watch event to mark Friday, October 31, where the entire family can be entertained.

The annual Preston Park Halloween Walk will test the steeliest of nerves as intrepid ghost-hunters brave the journey through the hall and round the park where ghostly apparitions glide between trees and screeching vampires, howling werewolves, nasty bats and beasties prepare to pounce.

Councillor Mary Womphrey, Stockton Borough Council's cabinet member for arts, leisure and culture, said: "Our Halloween Walk is always fun and I'm sure families will have a great time as they come face-to-face with the ghostly apparitions."

Tickets cost £4 each, with under fives going free, and includes free transport from Stockton and Yarm Town Centres from 6pm to 8pm.

Tickets are available from The Environment Centre, 21 West Row, Stockton, Tourist Information Centre, in the Central Library, and Preston Park. However, they are strictly limited.

Admission to the site is possible on foot, but there will be no public parking and limited disabled parking, however, the majority of people are expected to arrive and depart on the special ghost coaches, which will leave from Stockton High Street, outside the Swallow Hotel, and outside Yarm Town Hall on a regular basis.
