FAMILIES across the region are invited to two free events hosted by Darlington Building Society, in celebration of the company being named 'Building Society of the Year'.
The events will take place on Saturday (May 18) from 10am to 2pm at the society’s Darlington and Redcar branches.
Members, non-members, and their families are invited to join the festivities which will include refreshments, entertainment, and a competition, with a chance to win an afternoon tea.
Andrew Craddock, chief executive at Darlington Building Society, said: "It’s fantastic to have been recognised as the Building Society of the Year and we are eager to share this success with our local communities.
“These celebrations are not just about our achievement, but a thank you to our members for their trust and support during what has been a challenging time financially for many, giving way to low sentiment about homeownership.
"One of the reasons we stood out for the judges was our mortgage service. We’re making our mortgage advisors available on the day to ensure people can get the advice they need and put some joy into the homebuying process. We look forward to welcoming the local community to celebrate."
Darlington Building Society’s Redcar branch is located at Unit 1, Regent Walk and the Darlington branch is located at 21 High Row. There is no need to pre-register for events as drop ins on the day are welcome.
