A popular North Yorkshire café has been put up for sale.

Shanti Vegetarian Café and Bistro, located in the Earthbeat Centre in Saltburn, has announced its location is up for sale and they are looking for offers in the range of £30,000.

The business, which opened in 2015, also confirmed the space is available for a monthly rental price of £370.

They said all fixtures and fittings are included in the sale – including three commercial fridges, one freezer, two induction cookers, one induction hob, and a commercial extractor system.

In a post online, a spokesperson for the business said: “Shanti Café is FOR SALE.

Located in the Earthbeat Centre, Saltburn, Shanti café seats 30 indoors and 20+ outdoors.

“All fixtures and fittings included, including 3 commercial fridges, 1 freezer, 2 induction cookers, 1 induction hob, commercial extractor system and more.”

The venue holds a food hygiene rating of five, as well as a five-star review rating on TripAdvisor.

Residents reacted to the news of the sale with disappointment and wished the business owners the best of luck.

One resident said: “So sad, we love this place. Good luck with whatever you do next.”

Another resident said: “Nooooooo, love popping in there as such a friendly welcoming cafe. You'll be missed so much.”
