Police in Scotland have re-issued an appeal to locate a missing North East man whose car was found abandoned in a coastal car park.

Concerns were raised for Ernestas Dagys, 42, of Middlesbrough, at around 12pm on February 27 following reports that his car was found in the Mull of Galloway Car Park in Western Scotland.

Since he was reported missing, searches have been carried out by the RNLI and HM Coastguard.

Ernestas is described as white, around 5’8” tall, of slim build with short brown hair. When last seen he was wearing a black jacket, grey tracksuit bottoms and black trainers.

Inspector Stephen Judge said: “Four weeks have now passed since Ernestas was believed to have travelled to the Mull of Galloway area on Sunday, 25 February, and I am  appealing for any information which may help us trace him.

“If you have been in the area since Sunday, 25 February please think back. Did you see someone matching his description? Please get in touch with any information you have.

“Ernestas, if you see this appeal, please make contact with police so we can ensure you’re safe and well.”
