There are going to be a range of fun and free activities available in Darlington this Easter holiday.

Darlington Borough Council will be offering a climbing wall, art classes, giant darts and more.

The events will be available on April 8 from 11am to 4pm in the Market Square.

Here are more of the activities that will be on offer:

  • Cycling skills
  • Art and crafts
  • Giant darts
  • Penalty and basketball shoot outs
  • America football
  • Golf chip challenge
  • Skipping
  • Hula hoops

Throughout the holidays there are also free drop-in sessions at Darlington libraries.

On Tuesday 2 April, 3.30-5pm there will be stories and crafts at Cockerton Library and Thursday, 4 April from 3.30-5pm there will be a fun watercolour painting session.

Darlo Draws takes place on Tuesday, 9 April, 10am-noon and 1-3pm, at Darlington Library. Poet and artist Lizzie Lovejoy will lead the session. At Cockerton Library, 3.30-5pm, pop in for board games club.

On Wednesday 10 April, 10am-noon and 1-3pm, it’s Locomotion Drop-In Day at Darlington Library with the Explainers from Locomotion in Shildon who will help you build an engine.

The council will also be celebrating National Pet Month on Thursday 11 April at Cockerton Library from 3.30-5pm with fun crafts, a story and a talk from the RSPCA.

The regular Lego club will also take place throughout the holidays on April 6 and 13 from 10am and noon at both libraries.

All the sessions are free and no booking is required.
