A County Durham village has emerged as one of the best in the North East where house prices differ by such a rate - despite the properties only a few streets away.
Despite only being three miles from Durham City, the house prices in Sacriston village has been touted by Rightmove and Zoopla as something of an anomaly - due to the difference in prices.
Like a lot of locations across County Durham, Sacriston's mining heritage is part of its history - but also means that there are a range of housing types, given that there are older-style terrace houses and also new builds around Sacriston.
This 'anomaly' in prices has been seen on Rightmove, which puts one house at just £65,000, while another property several streets away (a 0.5-mile walk) is on the market for £395,000.
The cheaper property, which is located on John Street in Sacriston is described as "deceptively spacious" by the estate agent, Purple Bricks.
The listing goes on to say: "Two bedroom mid terrace property situated on John Street, Sacriston.
"Sold with vacant possession and no chain involved this property would make an ideal purchase for any buyer looking for a ready-made home in an ideal location."

Meanwhile, the more expensive property of the two, which is located on Church Parade in Sacriston, is on the market for £395,000.
This property is described as: "A very rare opportunity has arrived on the market. At the heart of the village of Sacriston sits this rear gem of a property on Church Parade. This detached property with four bedrooms, three reception rooms and three bathrooms is perfectly located within walking distance of the village's local amenities and transport links in and out of Durham as well as being a short commute from the city, Chester-le-Street and the A167."
Despite the differences between the two properties, Rightmove and Zoopla insist that the difference in properties in Sacriston is unique in County Durham and the wider UK.
