Residents in a North Yorkshire street lost power for parts of Thursday (March 14) morning after hearing a 'loud bang' in the street.
Emergency services and power crews were called to Roman Road in Leeming at about 12.45am, following reports of a 'loud bang'.
The mystery sound was heard by several houses, according to North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue.

After arriving on the scene, firefighters worked with residents to find the cause, which saw a fire crew from Bedale attend.
The noise turned out to be connected to electricity, which caused the houses to lose power - with firefighters reconnecting the power.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "A crew from Bedale responded to reports of a loud bang and loss of electricity. Crews investigated and confirmed that the power had tripped. Crews reinstated electricity."
