Staff and pupils at a North Yorkshire primary school are celebrating after it maintained a 'good with outstanding features' rating from Ofsted during its recent inspection.

Brompton Community Primary School managed to impress inspectors during the Ofsted inspection and has maintained the level of success it achieved during its previous inspection.

The school’s head teacher, Jane Byrne, said: ‘We are incredibly proud of this report which reflects the wonderful attitudes of the children and the dedication of all our staff here.

"We are delighted that the inspector saw first-hand that we all work together as a team to create a climate and culture where pupils can excel both in and out of the classroom and strive to leave a ‘legacy’ of success in their time here."

She added: "Following on from the outstanding results in the summer, particularly in maths, where we were ranked in the top five per cent of schools in the country, this is a wonderful validation of the hard work and commitment of everyone involved at the school and we are very proud of our pupils and staff and this report is richly deserved – ‘It is all about the team!"

The inspector recognised the ‘exceptional behaviours’ of the pupils and their significant contribution to the life of the school and the wider community attributed, in no small part, to the ‘inclusive team culture evident throughout the school.

The report also highlighted the strength of the provision at Brompton Community Primary School in terms of academic outcomes and the support that all children receive in a caring, nurturing learning environment praising the ‘highly skilled’ staff.

The Chair of Governors, Nigel Hebron, added ‘I would like to pass on our huge thanks and congratulations to everyone at Brompton Community Primary School, for the excellent Ofsted report.
