A homeowner had several antique paintings and a piece of "Elizabeth II silverware" stolen while they were on holiday.
Police are appealing for witnesses and information about the burglary, which happened on Frenchgate in Richmond.
It happened between January 30 this year and February while the resident was away, with the antiques and artwork that were stolen said to be worth several thousand pounds.
The stolen items are very distinctive and include two paintings, one called ‘Distant Valley' by local artist Lynn Ward, a picture by French artist Valette, and a silver Elizabeth II punchbowl.
Following the burglary, North Yorkshire Police have warned people if they have been offered any of the items for sale or know where they are now.

The police force also wants people to get in touch if they have any information about the burglary or saw any suspicious activity or people in Frenchgate over the period when the burglary occurred.
