B&M’s garden centre will be opening in a popular North East retail park later this year.
Signs at B&M in Teesside Park show that the garden centre will be opening between Spring and Summer this year.
The retailer opened its new store in in the retail park in Thornaby on November 23 – taking over the unit previously housing Toys R Us.
A spokesperson for B&M said the launch of the new store had created more than 60 jobs for local people.
At the time, the store manager said: “It was really exciting to welcome customers through the doors; the feedback so far has been fantastic.
“A big thank you to the team at the Teesside Family Foundation who helped us open the store; we hope that our donation can help them to continue to do the great work they do.”
Meanwhile, other retailers expected to open in the retail park this year include Primark and Nike Unite.
Signs touting a Primark launch this Summer have been put up on Unit 11 after months of speculation and anticipation.
Additionally, Nike Unite will move into Teesside Park in 2024, as it prepares to set up shop in Unit 12A – the site of the old New Look store.

Catherine Furlong, centre director at Teesside Park, said the retailer’s move to the site will create more jobs for the local area.
She said: “We’ve been promising the reveal of even more exciting new brands coming to Teesside Park and I’m so pleased to be able to confirm Nike Unite as one of those.
“Not only will the Nike Unite store bring great sportswear ranges and new experiences for our visitors, but it will also provide job opportunities for the local area. I’m sure this one is going to be hugely popular!”
