As 2024 gets underway tomorrow, we have compiled some of our favourite images of 2023 - taken by us here at The Northern Echo.
From Redcar to Darlington, Hartlepool to Durham and Sunderland to Northallerton, the Echo has taken pictures right across the region.
We've seen some stunning photos of wildlife and scenery; to images of current events and things happening in County Durham, Tyne and Wear, North Yorkshire, and Teesside.
