Police are investigating after an assault involving a man spitting in a woman's face in the aisle of a supermarket.
Officers from North Yorkshire Police are looking into enquiries following the incident, which happened between 9.30pm and 10pm on Wednesday, 30 August at Co-op Springfield in Stokesley.
During the incident, a man is alleged to have spat into a woman's face while they were both in the Co-op store.

Following an appeal, police have now issued CCTV images of a man that they need to speak to in connection with the incident.
Officers are appealing for information that could identify the man in the image.
