The trio performed a set featuring some old classics as well as newer hits, after kicking off the show with 'The Greatest Day' performed on a remarkable platform built into a giant black sphere on the stage.

It was the first time that the stadium had hosted a music concert, and has paved the way for Arctic Monkeys and The Killers in the last two years.

The area around the stadium was transformed into a 'fan village' and the event was hailed as a huge success by fans on social media.

With the news that the band will return to Middlesbrough in May 2024, we've taken a look back through our photo archives from the 2019 gig.
