Police have located a man that allegedly put his hands up a teenage girl's skirt at an event in a town centre.

The assault happened at around 9.45pm on Sunday, August 20 at the ‘Rock the Town’ event at Bedale Park in Bedale.

Officers asked members of the public to get in touch if they recognise the person in the image.

On Thursday (August 24), North Yorkshire Police confirmed that a man has come forward and made contact with officers and is assisting with their enquiries.
