A bar owner has berated members of the public for 'kicking off' in the venue - including dropping glasses on the floor, throwing drinks on the wall, and kicking locks off toilet doors.

Over the last couple of weeks, the owner of Wonderland bar in Ripon has noted several people being 'rowdy' and forcing the bar to close early, due to their antics.

In a post on social media, the owner has warned venue-goers that Wonderland will become a 'bottomless pit' that's losing money if the behaviour of some continues.

Taking to Wonderland's Facebook page, the owner said: "Before we start this weekend I feel the need to just throw the below word out into the open…

"We’ve got people kicking off in the bar and making us close early doors (to protect the safety of others we have responsibility for).

"We’ve got people getting drunk and just dropping glasses in the middle of the dance floor for fun and chucking remainders of drinks around at the walls.

"We’ve got people kicking door locks off toilets.

"We can only spend so much money on this bar before it become just a bottomless pit and we just say no more money will be spent until we start to see some improvements of client behaviour."

The post goes on to thank people that do come in and spend money in the venue, which gets reinvested back into Wonderland.

The statement added: "I came to this bar to make positive change and adapt the bar to a wider client base - the changes although small you’ve already seen are happening now together let’s make the bigger changes happen.

"Let’s make sure we keep the bar open this weekend until 4am each day and have a bloody fantastic weekend."
