POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a burglary in Jarrow in which a man stole cash bags.
It happened just after 3.30pm, on Friday, at the Bede Services factory unit, on Bede Industrial Estate.
A man made his way into the warehouse area of the factory unit and removed three cloth cash bags from the safe.
He is described as approximately 20-years-old, between 5ft 7ins and 6ft tall and of slim build.
He has short mousy brown hair, discoloured wonky upper teeth and was wearing a grey hoody and jeans.
The offender made off on a purple mountain bike turning right onto the industrial estate past Greggs and towards the Post Office.
