THE FA Cup Final between Portsmouth and Cardiff was a bit of a non-event for most North-East football fans, the game a bit dull and uneventful.
However, the man of the match was from the North-East - Sir Bobby Robson!
Limping quite badly, it was obvious the ravages of his battle with cancer clearly visible.
But he smiled from beginning to end and obviously enjoyed every minute of the day. Well played Sir Bobby!
It would have been great to present the trophy to a North- East team but after the last season I'm letting my imagination run away!
