Norton U15's completed the 'Double' and bagged a phenomenal 5th League Cup in a row after a nail biting penalty shoot out against their biggest rivals Marton FC. The game wasn't a classic with Marton mainly trying to catch out Norton with long balls and working very hard to nullify Norton's pace and skill up front. Norton looked most likely to score but they went behind after a rare defensive error when they failed to clear their lines and Hal Jenkins crashed in an unstoppable volley from 18 yards. Second half saw Norton push Marton back but chances were few and far between, Adam Todd hit the bar from a free kick and Norton had one cleared one off the line but as they were building up for a big finish gaps were appearing at the back and Marton missed a golden opportunity to tie it up with only minutes left. They almost regretted it immediately but Tom Booth somehow missed from close range. With injury time running out Booth More then made amends with a flash of pure quality bursting past 4 defenders and squaring the ball for Josh Sutcliffe to tap in to make it 1-1. Extra time came and went without much incident apart from one horrendous miss by a Marton striker. Norton's spot kicks were expertly dispatched apart from the first one which hit the bar but it was Norton's keeper Andy Martin who was the shootout hero, saving one and getting a hand to 3 more of Marton's penalties. This created pressure on the takers and finally Marton hit a post with one and the Cup was on its way back to Norton. Another hugely successful season for this talented squad of players.

Result: Norton U15's 1 v Marton FC 1 (After Extra Time) Norton win 9-8 on penalties.
