Trampas, in Durham City A MALE grooming parlour offering a range of pampering treatments in Durham City is proving a hit with its customers.
Trampas, The Men's Room, in Owengate House, Saddler Street, has joined the expansion of male grooming establishments opening in the UK to preen a generation of men, who care more about their appearance. The parlour opened in February.
Proprietor Karen Forster, who is a state-registered nurse, said: "We want clients to feel totally comfortable and at ease when visiting us for treatment.
"We offer a range of treatments, including hair cuts, traditional cut-throat wet shaves and holistic treatments."
The salon offers a shoe shine service and complimentary shirt press, as well as intimate male waxing.
Philip Forster, who helps manage the salon for his mother, said: "Intimate male waxing is certainly on the increase.
"Clients can book using the code word test drive', so it's not embarrassing to make a booking, and their personal information is always confidential, of course."
The parlour also employs two beauty therapists.
