When Were We Funniest A new panel show on UKTV Gold concerning British comedies from a variety of decades, ranging from the 60's to the present. The line up includes a variety of comedians, with Alexander Armstrong as the host, Martin Freeman represents the 60's, Meera Syal representing the 70's, Jo Brand the 80's, Phil Jupitus the 90's and Frankie Boyle the 00's.

The first show was to introduce the idea of voting for each decade. There was a general overview from each comedian, showing what they considered to be the best bits from each decade. The audience in this episode decided what they considered the winner through the use of a "scientifically correct" clap-o-meter. The winner in this show was the 80's Over the coming months, each decade is going to be shown / analysed, leading to votes to decide which shows are considered the funniest. At the moment Phil Jupitus is taking us through his views of the nineties, showing what he thinks to be the highlights of this era. Each month a vote on the UKTV website will be cast to decide the best moments and a final vote in November.

A must see for any comedy lover.
