NORTH Yorkshire drivers could have to contend with several road closures this week, let’s take a look at where they are below and how long they will be in place.

Drivers in and around Hambleton will have six National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

One of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing a holdup of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week.

These are the road closures in place in Hambleton this week:

• A1(M), from 8am November 22 2021 to 5pm April 29 2022, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A1M northbound and southbound, junction 50 to junction 53, lane closures and 50mph speed restriction for anti glare fence replacement and planting.

• A1(M), from 8pm February 28 to 6am June 26, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A1M northbound and southbound, junction 57 to junction 58, carriageway closures, contraflow, 24hr speed restrictions, narrow lanes, 24hr layby and hard shoulder closures for wide load holding areas and lane closures for resurfacing works.

And a further four closures will begin over the next seven days:

• A1(M), from 8pm March 14 to 6am March 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A1M northbound, junction 50 to junction 51 lane closure for electrical works.

• A1(M), from 8pm March 15 to 6am March 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A1M northbound and southbound, junction 51 to junction 52, lane closure for inspection/survey works.

• A19, from 8pm March 28 to 6am March 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A19 northbound, entry slip A67 Crathorne Overbridge, slip road closure for bridge inspections.

• A6055, from 8pm March 28 to 6am April 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A1M, junction 51 Interchange, diversion route and signage for off network works.

These are the road closures in place in Richmondshire this week:

Two of them are expected to cause delays between 10 and 30 minutes, the latest expected works list shows that three closures in place are expected to carry out this week.

• A1(M), from 8pm November 15 2021 to 6am June 25 2022, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A1M northbound and southbound, J56 to J58, carriageway closures and lane closures for reconditioning works.

• A1(M), from 8pm February 28 to 6am June 26, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A1M northbound and southbound, junction 57 to junction 58, carriageway closures, contraflow, 24hr speed restrictions, narrow lanes, 24hr layby and hard shoulder closures for wide load holding areas and lane closures for resurfacing works.

• A1(M), from 8pm May 26 2021 to 6am January 1 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A1M northbound, junction 52 to junction 53, temporary speed restriction of 50mph.

And one more closure will begin over the next seven days:

• A1(M), from 8pm March 23 to 6am March 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A1M northbound, junction 52 to junction 53, lane closures for drainage works.
