A WOMAN has been taken to hospital following a collision involving four vehicles on North Road, Darlington.
The casualty was freed from her car by fire brigade personnel before being transferred to Darlington Memorial Hospital by ambulance.
Police have described her injuries as "significant".
The road has been partially closed while investigations are carried out.
The accident happened at about 11.25pm on Thursday.
