A MAN has this morning appeared in court accused of murdering a 25-year-old at the weekend.
Mr Lee, of Viola Crescent, Sacriston, appeared in the dock at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates Court at 10.30am and in a brief hearing spoke only to confirm his name, date of birth and address.
No plea was given.
District Judge Tim Capstick sent the case to Newcastle Crown Court on Wednesday and remanded Mr Lee into custody until that hearing.
