A PENSIONER has sustained a broken ankle and a broken rib after being punched and kicked by two men.
The 67-year-old man was assaulted in broad daylight after being approached at around 5pm on Monday, August 13.
He had been walking along Murray Street, in Hartlepool, when he attacked.
The pensioner was taken to the University Hospital of North Tees for treatment.
Both of the men believed to be responsible are described as being white and in their early 20s.
Anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident or who knows who the men responsible are is asked to contact DC Becky Alderson from Cleveland Police on 101, quoting event number 148975.
