DIG out your dancing shoes and get ready for Darlington’s annual Tea Dance.
This popular annual event, organised by GOLD (Growing Older Living in Darlington) and Darlington Borough Council’s events team, will see hundreds of people gather to take a spin around the Market Square.
The tea dance will take place on Thursday, August 16, from 11am until 3pm, in Darlington Market Square, and will celebrate 100 years of Votes for Women.
Dress up in green (give) white (women) and violet (votes) and join organisers for music from a live band, dancing, tea and scones and a hamper draw.
There will also be a host of stalls offering information about services for older people in Darlington, as well as giving people a chance to get involved in a fun event, creating positive and happy memories from one year to the next.
