A MAN who rammed another car after an altercation was jailed for a year and banned from the roads.
Patrick Bradley seemed pleased with the sentence, telling Judge Peter Armstrong over a video-link from prison: “Thank you, cushty.”
Bradley, 26, of Wynyard Mews, Hartlepool, had been on remand since the incident in March.
His barrister, Stephen Constantine, said: “He is sorry for these offences, not for himself, but for his partner who could do with his help.
“Her support for him is best shown by her appearance in court today.”
Teesside Crown Court heard how Bradley first hit the other car with a lump of wood, before chasing it and driving into the back of it.
He admitted affray, criminal damage, having an offensive weapon, two charges of dangerous driving, driving while disqualified and having no insurance.
Judge Armstrong banned Bradley from the roads for another year, a disqualification which will start when he is released from his latest sentence.
