TWO teenagers have been arrested following a police pursuit in the early hours of this morning.
The Audi A3, which was believed to have been taken from Spennymoor without the owner's consent, was stopped on the A688 in Bishop Auckland.
The 16-year-old driver was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop and taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent (TWOC).
The 15-year-old passenger was also arrested for TWOC. The pair are currently in police custody.
Roads policing officers performed a Tactical Pursuit and Containment (TPAC) to bring the vehicle to a safe stop.
