A NEW team is at the helm of the Rotary Club of Northallerton Mowbray.

At the club’s annual handover meeting, Rotarian Janet Crampton was presented with the chain of office by outgoing president Ian Parminter.

Her first duty as president was to present Paul Harris Fellowship awards – the highest recognition in the Rotary movement - to two club members for their outstanding service.

Peter Gibson was presented with his Fellowship certificate and badge. Kevin Hardisty – already a Fellow – was presented with his PHF badge with sapphire for his longstanding contribution.

Janet presented the president-elect pendant to Rotarian Anne Wall who will succeed her next year. The new secretary is Geoff Wall. Tony Wood continues as treasurer.

Janet has been club member for three years and served as secretary last year. She has lived in Scruton for 42 years and is chair of the parish council.

She is also a member of the Northallerton Villages Community Forum, currently working on all the events surrounding the Battle of the Standard 880 years celebrations in August.
