A MAN who was found with his trousers round his ankles outside his parents' house has been fined.

Malcolm McFadyen admitted one charge of being drunk and disorderly in a public place when he appeared at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates' Court yesterday.

The court heard how residents had seen the 35-year-old staggering along Streatlam Road, in Darlington, at about 10.30am on June 16, and knocking on people's doors.

When the police attended he told them to "Just f***ing go away" before being arrested.

McFadyen, who represented himself at court, told magistrates he had had too much alcohol and only drinks every couple of weeks.

He said he was "embarrassed" by the incident and had apologised to his family as he was trying to find his parent's house when he was arrested.

Magistrate Lorraine Overton fined McFadyen, of Streatlam Road, Darlington, £40 and ordered him to pay £85 in costs and a £30 victim surcharge.
