A SPECIAL flypast featuring a Lancaster Bomber, Spitfire and Hurricane has been organised to mark the 30th anniversary of St Cuthbert’s Hospice in Durham.
The RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight will be passing overhead at around 2.20pm on Sunday, July 29.
It will take place as part of the annual Open Garden.
Highlights include a Victorian style greenhouse and vegetable patch, where produce is grown for the kitchen and any surplus sold to raise additional funds.
Leanne Bousfield, central support services manager said: “We are thrilled to have secured the flypast in celebration of our 30th anniversary in what is also a milestone year for the RAF as they celebrate their centenary.”
The event is from 11am-4pm and admission is £4 but children go free.
