THE A19 has fully reopened following a serious crash near Crathorne.
Large tailbacks developed in both directions along the road, causing significant delays, with emergency services remaining at scene of the accident, which happened at about 12.30pm.
One woman has been taken to hospital by emergency services. Her condition is described as serious.
The northbound carriageway was opened more than six hours after the incident, followed by the southbound carriageway at around 7.30pm.

The incident involved a car, a van and a truck and police advised commuters to avoid the area if at all possible during the day.
The section of road between East Rounton and Crathorne was affected.
