TWO teenagers have been arrested after a 24-year-old woman was stabbed on Mead Crescent in Thornaby in the early hours of today.
Two males, aged 17 and 14, are being held in custody as enquiries into the incident continue.
Cleveland Police were called out shortly after midnight to reports of fighting in the street. and they arrived to find a woman with a knife wound in her leg.
A police spokesman said: “Her injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
“A 17-year-old male was arrested just after the incident and a 14-year-old male was arrested later this morning.”
Anybody who witnessed the incident or who has information is asked to contact Cleveland Policeon 101.
