IF you are not watching the England game tomorrow from the comfort of your armchair, you might want to share the experience at a pub or bar.

Here are a few ideas of where to go:

The Fox and Hounds in Shildon

A spokeswoman said: We have two rooms both with TVs. We have Fosters, John smiths, Caffreys, Strongbow, Strongbow Cloudy Apple Strongbow Dark fruit and Carling on draft. We are offering five for £10 on bottles of Budweiser, Sol and WKD while the match is on too.

"Our pub is a very friendly place with amazing, friendly bar staff. We have a seated area to the front and rear to catch 15 minutes of sun at half-time or to relax the nerves with a cigarette if it's a tense game."

The Bridge, Durham City

A spokeswoman said: "We have a range of different bottled beer and cider. On draught we have ice cold Heineken, Fosters,

Bierra Moretti, Guinness, Maltsmiths, John Smiths, Kronenburg, Strongbow and Strongbow Dark Fruits as well as two real ales. As well as a great range of spirits and wines.

"We have a total of three screens one being in the restaurant area should people wish to dine whilst watching the match although I imagine people will be too nervous! We serve homemade chunky chips at half time to anybody watching the football."

The Travellers Rest, Witton Gilbert

A spokeswoman said: "We again have various bottled beer and cider. On draught we have Bierra Moretti,

Fosters, ice cold Heineken, Strongbow, Strongbow Dark Fruits, John Smiths, Kronenburg and Guinness. We have an offer running before and during the game for a beer and a burger for only £9. We have one large screen in the bar area. We had a great little crowd in on Tuesday and although not a huge pub there is always a warm welcoming atmosphere."

The Wheatsheaf on Yarm Road, Darlington

A spokesman said: "We are selling John Smiths Smooth, Fosters, and Strongbow cider at £2 a pint from 12pm till 6pm. Along with this we are selling any five bottles of WKD, Fosters, or Sol for £10 during any of the live World Cup games."

The Buck Inn, 29 Newbiggin, Richmond

Fiona Hadden, landlady: "We have three indoor large screens plus a great beer garden with large outdoor TV. We will also have free bar snacks until stocks last and a great atmosphere!"

Ferryhill Sport & Education Centre, Lambton Road, Ferryhill 

A spokesman said: "We have bars and a big screen and drink offers. Familes are welcome, bring the kids along for a great atmosphere." 

Sedgefield Cricket Club, The Clubhouse, Station Road, Sedgefield​

Stephen Gilmore, of Sedgefield CC, said: "As well as cricket starting early at 10am, the bar at Sedgefield Cricket Club opens at noon and there is a 90-minute 'happy hour' from 1.30pm to 3pm.

"Three screens to watch the football and a hog roast to soak up the ale."

The Black Horse Inn Tudhoe Spennymoor

Linda Dennis said: "We are a family friendly pub with beer garden, four TVs, pool table and darts.

"Food served in our restaurant or bar basket snacks. World Cup scratch cards for a chance to win £50, and part proceeds to our charities for TUDFEST event.

"Four bottles of Bud for £5 during World Cup matches. Draught beers include Coors, Carling, Smiths, Kronenburg, Bierre Moretti, Guinness, Caffreys, Double Maxim, large range of alcoholic bottled drinks and soft drinks."
