PEOPLE are being asked to share their views on the role creative thinking play in their lives.

The Durham Commission on Creativity and Education is seeking people’s views on what helps and limits them to be creative, whether creativity is valued and what creativity means to them.

The commission is a joint project between Arts Council England and Durham University.

Academic lead Professor Alan Houston said: “There is a tremendous energy in creativity going on across different sectors and new developments, for example in digital technology, are changing the way we communicate and think creatively.

“We hope people from all areas will engage with the commission and give their perspective on what creativity and creative thinking means to them, not only in conventional arts activities but across other subjects and areas of life such as science and business.”

The questionnaire is open until the end of July and will be followed by further investigations.
