A KAYAKER with chest pains was rescued from the sea off the coast of Redcar yesterday.
He got into difficulty after coming out of the kayak and was unable to get back on board.
He was rescued by volunteers from Redcar RNLI and was suffering with chest pain. He had also ingested water.
RNLI crews and Staithes Coastguard administered medical care and took him from the beach to an ambulance.
He was taken to James Cook University Hospital for treatment.
