BUTTERWICK Hospice thanked staff and volunteers for their support at an anniversary party last week.
The charity celebrated the 23rd anniversary of its Bishop Auckland hospice with a barbecue for around 100 guests in the grounds on Friday, June 15.
Fundraiser Milly Toner said: "We had an amazing night and we wanted to say thank you to everyone who attended.
"We raised £800 from this simple, but enjoyable celebration.
"Thank you again for everyone who supports the hospice, we couldn't do it without you."
The hospice provides palliative home care, day services, outreach day hospices and family support to people with progressive life-limiting illnesses to communities around the town, Durham Dales and Sedgefield areas.
The barbecue was a chance to celebrate more than two decades of its work, the staff and around 250 volunteers in varied roles.
